      The astronauts have a data link to earth that uses satelites rather than phone masts like we use on Earth. It is good enough to do video calls home and stream HD video 🙂

      Yup! Also, astronauts have no need for mobile phones on the space station, so no need for 4G 🙂 As Andrew says, they have all kinds of special radios to get phone and internet on their laptops in the station, and I hear it’s pretty fast too!
