Julia Attias answered on 8 Dec 2015:
Hi @Ben,
That is a great question! The main thing is that they cant have foods with crumbs, or other components that will fall apart because its dangerous if things like crumbs get stuck in filters, or go into astronauts eyes! So everything they have is crumb-less :p Lots of food they eat comes in tins, but also in the form of freeze-dried, to make them last longer. Have you ever had special k cereal? The strawberries in there are freeze-fried… I have some freeze-dried mint choc chip ice-cream with me here which I am looking forward to trying – would you like to eat space ice cream too? 😀

One bite at a time. 😉
And Andrew’s video does a pretty good job of demonstrating cooking.
