• Question: what made you begin to like astronomy?

      For as long as I can remember, I’ve just always loved looking at the moon and the stars and thinking about what’s ‘out there’, so taking a class in school to learn more about the stars and our place in the universe made a lot of sense at the time. Also, my dear Mom would take me out to meteor watching parties in the wee hours of the morning and we’d watch brilliant flashes of light in the night sky while sipping hot cocoa, so she definitely helped stoke an interest in that area.

      Astronomy is awesome because it lets you actually see the other planets and things like asteroids and the sun for yourself! You can see the things in this video tour of our solar system:

      You could probably go to an observatory near your own house and look through their telescope to see things things yourself 🙂 Have a look on google for observatories near to where you are!
