• Question: what would you do if you were allergic to something crucial to survive in space

      In many ways, I would think being allergic to stuff is less of a problem in space than it is on Earth, as you can control your exposure to that stuff! There isn’t a lot of things to be allergic to up there – mainly foods and gloves, I think. The food you could avoid by just not eating that food!

      I expect that if someone had a serious allergy to something on the station though, they’d not be able to go there, as medical emergencies in space are many times worse than they are on the Earth! So it’s important that people are kept away from these dangerous situations.

      I’m with Alex – unfortunately, if you have a serious allergy to something on the station, there’s no way the doctors would let you fly. 🙁
