• Question: why carnt you breath in space for that long also is it warm in a space shuttle?

      Hi again, amberandjoseph! On Earth, we’ve got quite a nice atmosphere. We don’t realize this because we’re used to it, but it presses in on us all the time. So you can think of oxygen and other things in the air as bouncing around and off of us all the time.

      In space, there is so much, well, space, and so little oxygen and other things bouncing around that the pressure is really, really low. We’re just not built to breathe what little amount of anything is in space. This video goes into a lot more detail.

      And the space shuttle has temperature controls, so yeah, it’s comfortable. 👽
