Most of the work done around human spaceflight is a team job. You need lots of different people who have different skills such as engineers, flight controllers, doctors, trainers, etc. No one person can do all that at the same time, so thats why it needs a team 🙂

In school you need to think about taking Science Technology, Engineering and Maths subjects if you would like to work in something linked to spaceflight when you grow up 🙂

      Hey @mariawebb_x !

Being part of the “ISS team” is such a great job! You just feel such a sense of satisfaction, excitement, pride and fulfilment all in one!

In terms of GCSE’s: I think Andrew has answered this perfectly – any/all of the STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) would be a great way to start.
