I think being in space is probably a lot of fun and you would be sooo busy flying around, looking out the windows and enjoying yourself that you wouldnt have time to be scared.

But I think launching to space might be a little scary! Have you ever seen a spaceshuttle launch? Check out this video of a real launch and then post us a comment about if you think it looks scary or exciting to launch into space!

Dont forget to watch Tim launch next Tuesday! Here is a video I made myself for you to explain what will happen during Tim’s launch 🙂

      Hi @483nch25, @736nch25 and @Bubble confette.

I am sure it is scary when they launch for the first time. I am not sure they would be human if they didn’t get nervous :p But, I am sure they are even more excited to get to space, and look forward to all of the exciting things they get to do there, as well as find out lots of information for humanity.

If I was an astronaut, I would be scared. But I’d also be reassured that there are a lot of people who have worked very hard to make sure I’m safe, and who would look after me every step of the way! I think the good things about space would outweigh the fear once you’re there though…

I’m guessing the first launch is exciting and scary. I like to think of it this way – how would you feel on your first skydive or roller coaster ride? I think it’s natural and ok to be a bit scared in new situations like those, but they’re also very exciting!
